About the Conference

ANAFIDE, the Moroccan National Committee of CIGR and ICID and the PanAfrican Society of Agricultural Engineering (PASAE), are pleased to invite you to attend the 7th PASAE Conference scheduled from 22 to 24 October 2025 in Fes, Morocco. ANAFIDE which will celebrate its 55th anniversary in 2025 is member of PASAE and the Moroccan national committee of CIGR and ICID. ANAFIDE is delighted to collaborate with PASAE in order to organize this important international scientific and technical meeting on a major issue for the African continent, i.e managing water for a sustainable and resilient agriculture in Africa.

Call for Abstracts

Participants are invited to submit an abstract on one or more of the above subtopics.

Two languages: English and French will be used during the conference with simultaneous translation.

Abstracts of about 300 hundred words are to be sent to: bartali.h@gmail.com or abdelhamidcharef0@gmail.com before July 15th, 2025.

Authors are kindly asked to indicate the number of the subtopic(s) among the above list which covers the subject of their abstract(s). Also, please include contact details and a photo of the corresponding author of the paper.

Registration Fees for participants cover: Conference Documents, access to conference sessions, lunches and coffee breaks on October 22nd and 23rd, Conference Dinner on October 23rd, and Technical Tour on October 24th.

For accompanying persons, registration fees cover: Guided tours to selected touristic, local markets and historical places in Fes, lunches on October 22nd and 23rd, Conference Dinner on October 23rd, and Technical Tour on October 24th.

Event Activities

Registration will start on October 21st at 5:00 PM.

The conference sessions will take place on October 22nd and 23rd at the conference venue.

Conference Dinner: October 23rd.

Technical Visit: October 24th.

Technical Tours

Two optional Conference Technical Tours will take place on October 24, 2025.

Participants will have the opportunity to visit:

  • The Saiss irrigation project and agricultural farms using modern irrigation techniques.
  • The wastewater treatment plant and water pollution prevention systems.

Fes is an important economic city located in the center of rain-fed and irrigated agricultural areas, in the northeast of Morocco, upstream of the Sebou River Basin. It has industrial units specializing in agricultural products, textile, and leather processing and is home to important public and international private universities.

More details will be provided in the next conference bulletin.

Accompanying Persons Program

On Wednesday, October 22, and Thursday, October 23, guided tours will be organized for accompanying persons to visit the best places in the old city and historical sites.

Fès is one of the best Moroccan imperial cities, built in the 8th century.

Shuttle Services

The organizing committee will provide a shuttle service through the travel agent to transport delegates between their accommodation and the conference venue.
